MST Productions adds full-service Closed Captioning services.
Closed captions are most commonly used by deaf or hard of hearing individuals to assist comprehension of video programming. They can also be used as a tool by people learning to read, learning to speak a non-native language, or in an situation where the audio is difficult to hear or may be intentionally muted.
Closed captions add increased accessibility to video and are an important option to consider if your videos is going to be distributed to more than a handful of viewers.

MST Productions announced today that we are taking another major step in offering eco-friendly CD and DVD solutions to our clients.
Starting today we are offering a new line of custom-printed paperboard packaging. This style of high quality packaging using recycled paperboard has previously only been available with much larger orders. MST Productions announces support for turn-key Blu-ray Disc solutions.
MST Productions announced today their support for the latest optical disc format, Blu-ray Disc. Our latest addition of complete Blu-ray Disc support includes Blu-ray Disc duplication, manufacturing and authoring.
Blu-ray Discs offer content owners the ability to deliver high definition video at nearly 6x the resolution of current SD (standard definition) DVDs, as well as 7.1 channels of uncompressed audio. Other new features include Internet connectivity and interaction, Java Software support and advanced menu integration.

MST Productions announces Copy Protection for short-run DVD Publishing.
MST Productions is excited to be one of the first companies in the country to offer secure copy protection for our short-run DVD Publishing. Previously, security and copy-protection has only been available using technology such as CSS encryption, a method reserved for large volume jobs. Today, an increasing amount of content is published in small quantities using “On Demand” fulfillment methods where content is burned to DVD, making large volume jobs a thing of the past for many content owners. For these content owners, there has not been a method readily available for protecting their DVD content from illegal copying and ripping.
While no digital content protection solution is absolutely impenetrable, Rimage Video Protect™ guards against unauthorized copying and ripping of DVD content by encapsulating data files in areas of the DVD disc that are not read during playback. MST Productions sponsors community television and local library.
Public Access and Community Television is an important part of any growing and thriving community. Public access television offers individuals and community groups use of electronic media to produce their own programming which promotes awareness of new ideas and reflects the diversity of the community. Public access was a result of the Cable Communications Act of 1984, in which Congress established a provision that would permit local authorities to develop requirements for public use of the local cable system.
MST Productions is partnering with Massala in Mountain View, California, to make more than 30 episodes of "Indian Vegetarian Gourmet", a show that simplifies and demystifies Indian cooking available in the Cupertino Public Library.
The host and producer, Hema Kundargi, writes a food column for Cupertino's citywide newsletter, "Cupertino Scene" and West coast Indian magazine "India Currents". Hema is dedicated to building cultural awareness about Indian customs and traditions.
In the coming months, MST Productions plans to expand it's support and partner with other local and community television stations.

MST Productions announces new product and pricing for CD and DVD Digipaks.
Digipaks are a custom printed paper-board product with a plastic tray adhered directly to the board. Digipaks can be made to hold one or multiple discs in the size of a standard CD Jewel case or DVD Album case. By using the entire package as a canvas for your artwork Digipaks provide ample room to convey your message and create a lasting impact.
Since the mid 1990's Digipaks have been gaining popularity in the CD and DVD industries and with the recent popularity of being more "green" and eco-friendly, they are a great packaging option since they use significantly less plastics than traditional packaging. Less plastic means a greater percentage of the product can be made from recycled paperboard, which contributes to an overall lighter product, saving energy and money in shipping and distribution.
